remember when you were a kid?
you always used to think,
that things would never die,
that happiness was perfect and endless
but now things seem a bit different
the sad season
and it's like WATCHING THE FLAMES SLOWLY FADE AWAY YOU SEE YOUR SKY TURN FROM BLUE TO GREY
I saw a ghost last night and it wasn't you at all
The prefect picture of a misunderstanding on the first day of fall
You're roaming in these empty streets, of Montreal,
There's nothing else that you can thing of, other than:
''There's no escape''
''We're all trapped in this cage''
You're still hearing the same freaking voices:
''This world is ugly''
''There's only problems!''
'' I can't see no solutions!''
You're still hearing the same freaking voices:
''This world is ugly''
Looking back to everything we had
Remember that everything isn't always bad.
But when the leaves are changing colors and start falling down it's normal, to feel a little bit like a ghost.
You know I've been there before,
You know it couldn't get any worse
But there's an escape, you're not trapped in this cage
If there are problems we can find a solution
You're still hearing the same freaking voices ?
You think everything is alright
While you sleep tight
I wonder when you’ll wake up
I’m gonna fuck this up
You closed your eyes once again
I thought that it was over
We’re diving in this nightmare
We can’t avoid this anymore
The problems in the night,
We’re always chasing them
It’s like a curse but I feel that together
Together we can cut the chain yeah Forever
You can’t sleep forever
The problems in the night,
We’re always chasing them
It’s like a curse but I feel that together
Together we can cut the chain yeah Forever
I CAN’T SLEEP FOREVER
you found a new way to Fakhistan
but will it really make them understand?
(I don't think so!)
You say you want to change the world
You talk, you talk, but there's never any action
And no one's to argue, when everyone's got the same point of view. You're showing discontent in a park but you're still paying rent to the 1%.
You claim that this world is unfair,
But it's the way that it has always been.
(get used to it.)
WHEN DID PROTEST BECOME SO SAFE?
STANDING IN LINE, QUEEN MOTHER IS IN TOWN
WE'RE JUST A BUNCH OF FRIENDS,
WE'RE TRYING TO HAVE FUN.
IN A WORLD THAT SEEMS TO BE MISERABLE AND THAT MISSES SOME KIND OF WAY OUT (WORKING POOR ARE YOU OUT THERE?)
BUT WE DON'T TRY TO CHANGE THE WORLD WITH OUR SONGS.
WE'RE JUST GLAD TO BE HERE AS YOU BUILD YOUR OWN FEAR.
about
We were supposed to become a Crabcore band. Our first inspiration was Attack Attack. But we failed at it and we decided to keep on doing noisy punk rock anthems. This EP was recorded in a better studio then our first one. Sam Gemme from The Cheap Thrills recorded/mixed it for us.
